Description

The MADRAS project focused on the development of advanced materials, including transparent conductive inks and paper-based substrates, as well as manufacturing processes, for the scalable production of sustainable and competitive OLAE (Organic Large Area Electronics) flexible devices. The innovative technologies developed in the project have been implemented in two demonstrators of printed electronics embedded in plastic: a photodetection-based biometric fingerprint reader for user recognition for a scooter-sharing company, and a flexible self-adhesive smart label for geolocation, attached to tools, vehicles and parts on assembly lines. These results can also be applied to a wide variety of markets such as healthcare, automotive, energy or food distribution.
